Overnight Accommodations

The Medical Center provides a folding bed service for overnight visitors of patients in private rooms. (Visitors may not spend the night in semi-private rooms.) This service is free to all patients and is based on space availability. If your physician or charge nurse approves the stay, your nurse will secure the bed for you. Fresh linens are provided.

The Ronald McDonald House of West Georgia

The Ronald McDonald House of West Georgia is a "home-away-from-home" for families of sick or injured children receiving treatment at The Medical Center. The house is located at the intersection of 20th Street and Hamilton Road just two blocks north of the Columbus Regional campus.

Families staying at Ronald McDonald House are asked to pay a minimum fee for each night's lodging. The fee is waived for families that cannot afford to pay. Families who are eligible to stay at the Ronald McDonald House must be referred by our Social Services department.

As the region's leading provider of healthcare, Columbus Regional Healthcare System has touched the lives of most of the children and adults in this region through its comprehensive network of services. Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
