Fran Branch Caregiver Fund

The Fran Branch Caregiver Fund was established in October of 2007.  Fran Branch, a courageous and loved member of the Columbus community lost her battle with cancer and left behind a loving legacy of friends and family members whose only desire was to have her gentle spirit live on.  Good friends Pat Jones, Peggy Gray and Angie Hart led the charge to raise the funds necessary to establish the Fran Branch Caregiver Fund in her memory.  The funds are used by The John B. Amos Cancer Center to further the education and training of nurses, physicians and other clinicians.  The kindness Fran lived in her life she found in those who cared for her during her illness.  It was her wish honor those caregivers.

Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
