Emergency Services and Trauma Center

The Medical Center’s Emergency Department offers advanced emergency care seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

As a state-designated Level II trauma center, the Emergency Department provides lifesaving emergency care and response for the 13-county west Georgia area and Lee and Russell counties in Alabama.

Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
