Pastoral Care    

We believe each person is deserving of the highest level of attention during an illness or personal crisis. It is our endeavor to make available emotional and spiritual support to each of our patients, their families and employees.

The primary services of the Pastoral Care Department include:

  • Patient rounds
  • Responding to deaths, codes and traumas
  • Responding to referrals from staff
  • Conducting daily devotional times
  • Availability to each patient, family member and employee to offer emotional and spiritual support
  • Referrals for counseling through the Employee Assistance Program

The Medical Center Chapel
Located across from the Garden Cafe on the lobby level, the chapel is available for quiet prayer or reflection 24 hours a day. A short devotional service is held in the chapel Monday through Friday at 10:05 a.m. for those patients and family members who would like to attend.

Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
