Respiratory Care

The Respiratory Care team at The Medical Center includes highly trained respiratory therapists who work closely with physicians, nurses and other specialists to address conditions that affect the way we breathe.

The Respiratory Care Department provides care to a full range of patients from infants through seniors, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, treating conditions to include:

  • Pneumonia
  • Bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Congenital heart and lung disease

We provide treatment to patients in all areas of inpatient and outpatient care using the latest therapies and technology, including:

  • Invasive and noninvasive ventilation therapy
  • Aerosol therapy
  • Bronchodilator Therapy
  • Pulmonary Hygiene Therapy
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Arterial Blood Gas Analysis
  • Chest Physiotherapy
  • Neonatal Services

All our respiratory care practitioners are licensed by the State of Georgia and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
