Regional Rehabilitation Hospital

Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, which primarily serves Muscogee and Harris counties in Georgia and Russell and Lee counties in Alabama, specializes in the treatment of patients recovering from:

  • Stroke
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Burns
  • Trauma
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Neurological disorders
  • Cardiac conditions

The 38-bed, 38,000-square foot facility features 16 semi-private, four private and two isolation rooms, a suite to help patients in activities of daily living, a gymnasium with physical and occupational areas, and a therapeutic pool.

The majority of the patients here are referred from acute care hospitals as an option for discharge. The hospital also accepts physician referrals. Most are scheduled for up to three hours of therapy each day, which speeds the recovery process and brings patients one step closer to returning home.

Regional Rehabilitation Hospital also features an education room and two day rooms where patients and their family members can learn about the recovery process.

Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is a Columbus Regional joint venture with HealthSouth Corp.

Learn more about Rehabilitation Services at Columbus Regional:

As the region's leading provider of healthcare, Columbus Regional Health has touched the lives of most of the children and adults in this region through its comprehensive network of services. Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
