Joint Commission Notice

The Medical Center, Inc of Columbus Regional Healthcare System is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The Medical Center Board of Directors has chosen to be accredited by this voluntary organization, which deals with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. If anyone has any unresolved patient safety or quality of care concerns, we encourage patients to contact the hospital administration through our Quality Compliance Hotline at 706-571-1998, ext. 2000. We welcome direct contact and pride ourselves on response to patient concerns. However, if the concerns remain unresolved we encourage patients to contact the Joint Commission on Accreditation. The concern should be submitted in writing and addressed to:

Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
