Laboratory Services at Doctors Hospital include both Laboratory Medicine and Anatomic Pathology.

Accredited by the College of American Pathologists, Doctors Hospital Laboratory is a full service lab which provides a wide range of services including:

  • Hematology
  • Chemistry
  • Immunology
  • Microbiology
  • Anatomic Pathology
  • Transfusion Medicine

The Laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day. All lab technicians are advanced Medical Technologists and a staff of four board-certified pathologists is available to consult on patient diagnosis and testing.

Each area is staffed by a well-trained team and supervised by certified pathologists. The laboratory serves a critically important role in patient diagnosis, clinical assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients.

The Department of Pathology is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and licensed by the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
