Dual Certification: The Best of Both Worlds

The Family Medicine Residency at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and leads to board certification by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Since the residency is dually accredited, osteopathic residents are also board-eligible with the American Board of Family Medicine.

Osteopathic Family Residency and Rotating Internship Affiliations

Our Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency and Rotating Internship programs are sponsored by and affiliated with the Consortium for Excellence in Medical Education (CEME), an Osteopathic Postgraduate Training Institute (OPTI) located at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Medical Education Department is also affiliated with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia Campus for medical student rotations.
