Dairy Queen to host Miracle Treat Day to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network

On Thursday, August 11, all Dairy Queen locations in the area will celebrate their fifth annual Miracle Treat Day and donate proceeds from every Blizzard sold that day to Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center.

Dairy Queen will serve up a variety of Blizzard treats during Miracle Treat Day, including Oreo, the featured Blizzard of the Month for August.  Miss Georgia Michaela Lackey  will be serving up Blizzards at the Macon Road location from 12:30 until 1:40 p.m., at which time she will travel to The Medical Center to deliver frozen treats to patients on the Pediatric floor at 2 p.m.

Dairy Queen has been a supporter of CMN since 1984, raising more than $70 million for critically ill and injured children during that time.

The Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center was established in 1995.  Since then, it has raised more than $3 million.  Every dollar raised by Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center stays in the community to help children treated at The Medical Center.  The MedicalCenter is one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in North America and only one of six hospitals in Georgia.

As the region's leading provider of healthcare, Columbus Regional Health has touched the lives of most of the children and adults in this region through its comprehensive network of services. Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
