Dr Brian Druker is our guest lecturer this year for the 3rd Annual John B Amos Lectureship Series. Dr Druker is best known as the oncologist/scientist that help bring the CML drug Gleevec to market. Gleevec has transformed an illness that required the use of multiple toxic agents to control with little hope for cure, into a chronic disease with a more than a 90 percent five-year survival rate.
The physician focused lecture, “ Imatinib as a Paradigm of Molecularly Targeted Cancer Therapies”, will take place on February 19 at 9:00 a.m. in the CSU Riverside Theatre. To make reservations call 706.321.6702.

His lunchtime lecture, “The End of Cancer is Within Reach”, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19 at 12:30 p.m. at the TMC Conference Center.
