Class: Nursing Mom's Support Group
Description:

The first weeks and months of motherhood are full of questions and concerns. This informal group for mothers and babies meets weekly with our lactation professionals (IBCLC or CLC) to address common breastfeeding questions and issues. A scale is available for checking baby's weight to reassure mom. This group is designed to provide information and support to the breastfeeding mother from professionals and peers so that she can continue to provide nature’s best nutrition to her infant! For more complete, individualized breastfeeding assessments, an appointment with one of our IBCLCs is suggested. To schedule a private consultation, please call 706-321-3765.

The group meets at our new Columbus Regional Lactation Center and Boutique located at Doctors Medical Park 500 18th Street Suite B-30 Columbus, GA 31901. Please join us there!

Three weekly meetings are held:

Every Monday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Every Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Every Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

NO REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY!  All nursing moms & babies who gave birth at any location are welcome!

*Due to the concerns about children and illness, please do not bring  children with fevers to attend the New Nursing Mom's Support Group. This is to protect our young babies and new mothers.*

As the region's leading provider of healthcare, Columbus Regional Health has touched the lives of most of the children and adults in this region through its comprehensive network of services. Located in the West Georgia city of Columbus, Columbus Regional was established in 1986 as a not-for-profit health services organization, but its roots can be traced back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small wooden building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
