The Medical Center trains tomorrow’s healthcare providers through their broad range of services and advanced clinical programs. The Medical Center has been home to the Family Medicine Residency Program since 1972. The nationally recognized program, which was the first of its kind in Georgia and one of the first in the Southeast, has graduated more than 300 family physicians. Six pharmacy residency programs, accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, emphasize the practice of pharmaceutical care through the integration of drug distribution, practice management and clinical services.
